When you think of the 80s, what comes to mind? Neon colors, big hair, cassette tapes, and preppy sunglasses. Now imagine yourself at an 80s party, dressed to kill, and posing for some totally rad photos under the neon lights…We can make that dream a reality; with a neon photo booth!
Rock the Gala Goes 80s
The 2019 Rock the Gala party for the Results Foundation rocked out at the Lumber Exchange Event Center in Minneapolis. As this was an 80s-themed party, the guests were invited to dress in glam rock attire and be prepared for a gnarly good time. We brought our open style photo booth, so guests could get an awesome memento of their evening in the rocking 80s!
A Neon Photo Booth Made Especially for the Party
We added some pizzazz to our photo booth by equipping it with neon lights. The bright lights shone across the guests’ faces as they posed, creating a look worthy of the 1980s. Since many of the guests were already dressed up 80s-style, the neon glam really added to the shiny, disco-like effect. Our photo props added to the fun by supplying the guests with funky wigs, oversized mics, rocking-good hats, megaphones, and beautiful big sunglasses. We enjoyed snapping the photos almost as much as the guests enjoyed posing!
What Can We Do for Your Party?
The Rock the Gala event was 80s-themed, but our neon photo booth will work for other themed parties, as well. It adds bright lights, charisma, and flashy charm to all sorts of fun events. Do you have a party or event you’re planning for in the Minneapolis area? Let us know the theme or style of the event, and we’ll come up with a great photo booth that will be the hit of the party.
We love a good challenge, and we’re always willing to custom create a photo booth for specific events! Learn more about our open style photo booth. Your party is in good hands with Time Into Pixels Photography and Photo Booth.
Modern weddings have both the liberty and luxury to try new things, which can be a fantastic way to make the event stand out. It also makes us excited, as a photo booth business, to work with such original and unique concepts, which can turn out quite beautiful. One wedding at the Minikahda Club particularly stood out. It featured an open style photo booth with a custom backdrop designed by Event Lab. It perfectly blended with the occasion’s theme and helped create an array of genuinely fine photos.
A Lush, Classical Scene
The wedding itself was classically themed with the perfect blend of white, ivory, and greenery adorning nearly every aspect. The backdrop that was used worked immensely well with these colors. It was the bride’s idea to pose on a couch with a hedge wall in the background, which worked nicely for both large and small groups. The couch itself was ivory, which, along with the hedge, matched the rest of the wedding perfectly. The couple even ordered the creation of a custom monogram for their photo strips that fit in just as seamlessly. It was a one-of-a-kind display that blended and balanced every aspect with natural elegance.
When people choose to customize their photo booth experience, they create something completely and entirely their own. We love giving our clients room to do this, as it allows us to see the truly inspirational ideas people are capable of coming up with. The photos we helped them take are definitely going to stand out in these settings, making them well-worth saving for years to come.

During the first weekend in April, all eyes were on downtown Minneapolis for the NCAA Final Four. While the rest of the country was either cheering the stunning wins of Virginia and Texas Tech or nursing their wounds for Auburn and Michigan State, VIP guests got a taste of hometown pride with a Prince-themed party at Erik the Red. Here’s more on this fun photo booth rental in Minnesota:
We had a lot of fun working with our client, Meet Minneapolis, on the Prince-themed party. Prince is a Minnesota icon, and it was essential to get all of the details right in order to celebrate this pop legend. Our custom photo booth included props like an electric guitar and purple rain clouds. We also provided signs with that read “You’re filthy cute,” and “Dearly beloved”. The photos were further customized with a purple border, another homage to the late rock star.
Custom Photo Booth Rental
Custom props really helped this Final Four party come together, and can always benefit any themed event. We understand there is a fine line between upscale props, and cheesy decorations, which is why we have an in-house designer that will work directly with you to make sure we capture your vision. Our photo booth props are high-quality and can be used over and over again. Whether you are hosting a company-branded party or a specially-themed bash, we can help you come up with ideas to make your event unique.
We also have different styles of photo booths, depending on your needs. For the Prince-themed party, Meet Minneapolis opted for the Glam Booth option, which can provide color or black and white photos. We stuck with color photography to showcase the custom props. The Glam Booth option smoothes skin and helps everyone look their best. The Open Photo Booth was perfect for large groups and gave everyone room to show off their best Prince impersonations.

We had an awesome time providing the photobooth at Geilfest, hosted by Travail Restaurant in Robbinsdale, MN! This annual Octoberfest event is “a smorgasbord of German inspired brews and Travailian eats” with a Polka Band to boot! With 12 brews and more than 13 Octoberfest inspired menu items, it’s definitely a memorable party!
It’s really high energy and a truly awesome event. We love watching the sausage eating and beer drinking contest and all the people wearing German costumes. The small unlimited traditional Travail food courses are delicious and our photo booth is a big hit. All in all, it’s a must on your calendar every year!
We love that they chose the horizontal photo strip for the event too! It’s a great option for someone who wants something a little different, but still multiple photos. It’s quickly becoming a favorite for us!
We had a great time providing the photo booth for this summer wedding at the Jax Cafe in Minneapolis. Everyone was so laid back and fun, especially the newlyweds.
We always enjoy working at the Jax Cafe – it’s a great venue for weddings and private parties. They have a semi-casual vibe and awesome food.
The Cafe is “known for a warm welcome and traditional atmosphere, Jax Cafe serves only the finest menu of premium cuts and fresh seafood flown in from all over the world. Recognizing that fine food doesn’t require flash and trend- Jax Cafe impresses with the best ingredients, immaculate preparation and the heart of a dining experience crafted through three generations.”
For the event, we provided single- photos in a standard 4 x 6 size. It was a great “favor” option for guests and keepsake for the couple.
