A Photo Booth Rental For a Paikka Wedding

Weddings are a commitment, a celebration, and the beginning of a new journey. When Jessica and Nels told us that they need a photo booth for their Paikka Wedding, they told us they wanted a night to remember. Beyond the traditional dinner and dancing, they wanted playful fun and entertainment that guests would never forget. That’s why they rented a photo booth for their intimate Paikka reception.

Paikka Wedding

The venue, located in the heart of the Twin Cities, offers an industrial-chic event space with exposed brick walls and steel vaulted ceilings. With a maximum of 200 guests for a seated dinner reception, the space is ample enough to accommodate both intimate events and larger-scale affairs. Paikka weddings allow flexibility when selecting caterers, with no limited list of potentially pricey “preferred vendors” to choose from. The licensed, insured caterer of your choice is welcome to set up in the kitchen space.

And the venue is committed to making your event your own: they’ll create a custom floor plan from the available spaces to help you realize your vision for the day. The Gold and Pink rooms are separated by large doors adorned with a striking mural. Outside, a small patio strung with lights allows your guests to catch a breath of fresh air.

The Photo Booth

For Jessica and Nels, a photo booth rental was the right choice. Photo booth stations offer a chance for guests to co-mingle, group up, and let their silly sides loose with props and accessories. For this wedding, the couple chose our open-style photo booth to allow for a custom backdrop. Instead of a red curtain or a painted backdrop, we let the venue’s flowers and greenery show through in every printout. The couple and their guests won’t forget those custom decorations!

As the evening progressed, every guest got their moment behind the camera. They formed and re-formed groups of three or four and swapped props like Viking helmets, giant sunglasses, and sequined top hats. Whether holding signs that said “Hurry, cut the cake!” or “Wedding crasher,” it’s clear they’re having a blast in every photo. But not every guest had to sacrifice their dignity: some couples took the opportunity to pose in their formal wear for a more romantic keepsake. Others did a little of both– one formal, one goofy– for the best of both worlds.

To make their photo booth rental even more memorable, Jessica and Nels had each printout customized with their initials and the date. Every photo doubled as a special souvenir of a very special night.

Photo Booth Rental At The Unmask Opioid Addiction Gala

We recently provided the open style photo booth rental at an event called Unmask Opioid Addiction at The Westin Edina Galleria. Unmask Opioid Addiction was “a night dedicated to the partners and supporters of the Steve Rummler Hope Network.” The goal of this event was to raise funds to continue our critical mission of saving lives. The client opted for 2×6 prints and props that complimented the theme of the event.

“Over the last six years in America, opioid overdose deaths have increased from roughly 15,000 deaths per year to 33,000. There was a 12 percent increase in opioid-involved deaths from 2015 to 2016 in Minnesota. The greatest number of opioid-involved deaths continues to be due to commonly prescribed opioids; accounting for over 50 percent of all opioid overdose deaths in Minnesota.”

Unmask opioid addiction was the first-ever masquerade gala [Steve Rummler Hope Network]. They were joined by special guests, influencers, and the recovery community.

The Steve Rummler Hope Network has the following goals:

Healthcare professionals who are educated in and practice responsible prescribing and who provide treatment focused on wellness rather than drugs.

A public that wants action to end the epidemic of addiction and overdose deaths.

An environment that empowers those affected by addiction to seek the help and support they need without shame or judgment.”

Minikhada Club Wedding Photo Booth

Minikhada Club is situated on the northwest side of Lake Bde Maka Ska. Boasting views of the city skyline and lake, it is one of our favorite wedding venues in Minneapolis.  It’s truly breathtaking – a classy, traditional venue that would be ideal for an upscale, formal wedding. No wonder Minikhada Club Wedding Photo Booth is one of our favorite types of rentals.

Page & Beau’s wedding was very modern and earthy with some dark floral. Their wedding photos from Clewell Photography (seen below) were beautiful! We love a “moody” style wedding, and Page and Beau’s has a perfect blend of classic with a modern moody vibe. The details were to die for and the couple was also so amazing to work with! The couple opted for our open style photo booth with 2×6 photo strip prints, props, and a guest book. The guests had fun and Page & Beau had a book full of prints to remember their wedding night and to see how much their guests enjoyed their reception. The photo booth expert stayed for the duration of the rental and made sure to assist the guests – the photo booth was busy all night!

Corporate Event Photo Booth Rental For Atmosphere Commercial Interiors

This event party for Minnesota-based, Atmosphere Commercial Interiors was a smashing success! It was fabulously planned. We provided our corporate event photo booth, event photography, and live hashtag printer for this party.

If you aren’t familiar with the open style photo booth, it is one of our coolest and most popular services that’s completely customizable.  There is a lot of ways to make this type of photo op unique and custom backdrops are one of them. It’s a great way to encourage guest participation – the guests get a tangible memento from the event. Many will post the images on their social media and your brand gets some buzz. We branded 2×6 photo strips from our open style booth with the client’s logo that complimented the backdrop and created a cohesive print for each guest.

Atmosphere Commercial  Interiors went all out with branding the event. They had everything match – from the colors of their balloon installations to the amazing matching cookies favor, to the graphic on the photo prints (of course). It was really well decorated and cohesive! Our event photographer captured the fun and all of the beautiful thoughtful details as well.
We especially loved the custom balloon photo booth backdrop! Balloons are really making a comeback and we especially love them for corporate events.

We’re really lucky to have awesome clients that know how to host a really fun event and add our Minneapolis photo booth to it! And this Kentucky Derby event for Betty Dangers was one of those.

Minneapolis Photo Booth

We used a branded backdrop and had some sassy props with our open style booth. But the best props were the hats! Some of the guests had the coolest hats and everyone was dressed really well too. It made for some great images. Having large images for this event is really beneficial since people are dressed up, so larger photos capture the outfits really well.
Here is some amazing history about The Kentucky Derby, from their website:
“There are few American sporting events with the history and popularity of the Kentucky Derby. It’s rich traditions – sipping a mint julep, donning a beautiful hat, and joining fellow race fans in singing “My Old Kentucky Home” – transcend the Kentucky Derby from just a sporting event, making it a celebration of southern culture and a true icon of Americana. The Kentucky Derby is the longest running sporting event in the United States, dating back to 1875.  The race is often referred to as “The Run for the Roses®” and has continuously produced “the most exciting two minutes in sports”; uninterrupted, even when coinciding with profound historical events like The Great Depression and World Wars I & II.

The Kentucky Derby’s long history began in 1872, when Meriwether Lewis Clark, the grandson of William Clark – of the famed pair Lewis and Clark – traveled to Europe. While there, Clark attended the Epsom Derby in England, a well-known horse race run since 1780, and also fraternized with the French Jockey Club, a group that developed another popular horse race, the Grand Prix de Paris Longchamps. Clark was inspired by his travels and experiences, and, upon his return, was determined to create a spectacle horse racing event in the States. With the help of his uncle’s John & Henry Churchill, who gifted Clark the necessary land to develop a racetrack, and by formally organizing a group of local race fans to be named the Louisville Jockey Club, Clark and his new club raised funds to build a permanent racetrack in Louisville, Kentucky. On May 17th, 1875, the racetrack opened its gates and the Louisville Jockey Club sponsored the very first Kentucky Derby.
