Every year we are thrilled to work at the HeartLink Gala event in the Twin Cities. This upscale gala raises money for Children’s HeartLink, based in Minneapolis. HeartLink cares for children with heart disease. This is a very worthy cause, and it’s inspiring to see so many people gather together to support it!
Dazzling Beauty at the Hilton
This year the HeartLink Gala organizers chose the Hilton Minneapolis for its venue and Bungalow Six for its event planner. With such a posh location the only fitting backdrop for the photo booth would be something extra special.
Girl Friday Creative created a backdrop image with spectacular style. The beautiful gold lettering and sparkling red and purple accents looked dazzling above the charcoal gray background. A huge swag of red balloons framed a corner of the backdrop, giving people a natural space to stand and look fabulous as they got their pictures taken.
The Right Time and Place for a Photo Op
Working with our photo booth year after year at the HeartLink Gala convinces us that a fancy event is the absolute best time to rent a photo booth. You get a customized backdrop, your guests are all dressed to the nines, and the smiles keep coming as people line up to get their photo taken. At HeartLink Gala, we also set up digital sharing stations that are used to immediately share digital images.
A photo booth adds modern entertainment to any event, plus it helps your guests engage with each other. An open style photo booth delivers interactive fun for large group events, and the custom backdrop adds the perfect touch you’re looking for!

At Time Into Pixels, we’re always excited to try new things and bring clients something they’ve never seen before. Recently, we had the chance to work with the Minnesota Vikings to give high-school athletes a genuinely remarkable photo booth experience. We used a custom-built frame for a magazine cover open style photo booth, giving them an opportunity to pose for an increasingly popular photo trend. As you can imagine, this open style photo booth presented plentiful opportunities for digital sharing for everyone involved!
Magazine Cover Open Style Photo Booth
The photo op was inspired by a growing trend that’s been appearing at events and gatherings of all kinds. Everyone from Vogue to the Kardashians have been using it for their parties. Given how genuinely fashionable and interesting the idea is, we were thrilled to try it out ourselves.
Using a full-scale acrylic box, we created a photo op identical to a magazine. We used the Viking’s signature colors, making for a truly authentic and professional-looking cover. This gave the students some excellent opportunities to pose and seeing it also gave them a good idea of how their photo would turn out beforehand. Digital-only sharing was utilized for the photos, leading to numerous great social media posts among all attendants. It was an amazing experience to create something so novel that blended perfectly with the brand and people that were there.

Imagine walking into an old building and immediately being transported to another era. Beautiful wood floors, brick walls, and crystal chandeliers give an aura of elegance and class. Sitting on a velvet chair in the lounge, looking out one of the large windows, makes it easy to imagine being in another time. The Earl and Wilson Event Center is located in historic Lowertown in Saint Paul, MN. Built in the 1800s, Victorian charm comes to life in this unique setting.
Making The Most Of Your Venue
We were given the opportunity to set up a photo booth for a wedding at the event center. Special backdrops only enhanced the sophisticated atmosphere, utilizing the chandeliers and brick. Working with Bre Ward, the wedding planner, we were able to make the most of the beauty already available. Guests enjoyed making memories and were able to take home a lasting reminder of the special day. The bride and groom also received a book with photo strips their guests had taken. Guests added their congrats and wishes for the couple, a distinct touch to a beautiful keepsake. Each venue has its own feel, something that makes it unique, and each event is centered around people that are even more special and unique. Finding the right style for a photo booth is a challenge we take seriously. We want each occasion to stand out and be exactly what the host intended it to be.
The Gift Of Memories
Family and friends are always more than thankful to be a part of your special day. A wedding is a momentous occasion, and everyone loves to be a part of the celebration. Pictures are the only visual reminder, a way to visit the past and also share with future generations. Photo booths give guests a fun way to relax and enjoy themselves and a way to thank them for being a part of your life. Let us help you add excitement to your wedding. Events should be fun and exciting for all who attend, and often, the best ideas come in surprising ways. Recently, we did an event for Enseo, that would end up with a last minute change in plans. They were testing our skills and together we pulled it off without a hitch. We also discovered that a Game of Thrones photo booth in Minneapolis means fun for all who attend, whether it is a corporate event or not.
A Surprising Twist that Put Us to the Test
As a photoactivation company, we are always looking for fun ways to help our clients make their events fun while achieving their marketing agenda. When we first spoke to Enseo, they booked an open style booth for a party they had planned. They wanted to take advantage of the fact that people love to have photos taken if there is a cool photo op available. They wanted their logo put on it so that it could be shared on social media to raise brand awareness. We were happy to help.
The party would be held in Minneapolis during the HITEC conference. This is an easy one for us. An open style photo booth is typically a landscape photo of some type with the company logo on them.
What a surprise when they called just a week and a half before the event to tell us some very exciting news. They wanted to add a fun prop – a real Game of Thrones photo booth in Minneapolis is what they had in mind.
The Challenges We Faced Head On
This Game of Thrones throne was amazing to see, but it did present some challenges for us. Instead of a landscape style booth, the throne looked better in the portrait orientation. Therefore, on short notice, we had to actually modify one of our booths to accommodate the prop our client chose for their corporate photo booth MN.
We put our heads together and decided that a single shot portrait was the way to go for this photo booth setup. However, the client also wanted to jazz it up a little. They wanted to add GIFs so that people could share short looping videos online. These gifs would have our client’s logo on them to provide additional brand awareness. This also posed a challenge because GIFs require 2-3 photos and our template had only one.
To solve this problem, we used a few tricks that we had up our sleeve. Our booth would take three photos. The first photo would be available to print. The three photos would go into the creation of the GIF, which could be shared on social media.
A Game of Thrones Photo Booth in Minneapolis Means Fun for All
This corporate photo booth MN adventure was unexpected from beginning to end. It was a smashing success. Everyone loved using the prop. It isn’t every day that we get to touch a piece of “Game of Throne” memorabilia. To have the actual throne was outstanding and we are grateful to Enseo and HBO for giving us an opportunity to be a part of such a cool event!

Celebrations are always a reason to smile, why not capture the smiles of your guests in a unique and fun way with an open style photo booth? We recently set up a booth at The Copper Hen Cakery & Kitchen bringing laughter and joy to the event.
The Copper Hen Cakery & Kitchen
We can not say enough about this rustic, beautiful, intimate space! Our open style photo booth set up well in the small nook allowing for a wonderful experience for the event. The wedding event was a beautiful celebration, with The Copper Hen providing the atmosphere with creative style, dancing floor space, and a gorgeous looking cake. They offer a smaller space for receptions, but they don’t scale back on the fun. With the glorious dark wood bar located in the back of the open room, your guests have access to that open bar you promised them. Read the story of The Copper Hen on the beautiful chalkboard hanging on the wall. Woodsy decorations for fall or winter weddings complement the decor already in the room. The guest had a wonderful time with the background and props chosen to compliment the wedding.
Open Style Photo Booth
What is the difference between a photo booth and an open style photo booth? Space. An open style booth provides the pace to get a group together with their chosen props to take that fun picture. The background is interchangeable and the photo strip can be designed to match your event. Our props add to the fun without being cheesy. When booking an event you can choose to put your own logo, event names, and colors on the designs. You can choose the picture layouts and size, giving you more control over the end result.
You deserve an event that is unique and fun. From birthdays to weddings we have the backdrops, props, and photo equipment you need to make the event memorable. Your guests will leave with a keepsake of their own to remember your event vividly. Contact us about booking an open style photo booth for your event today!

Brides and grooms want their wedding to be a special event that is unique to them and is also fun for their guests. Maarya and Mudassir were no different. They were married last year and this spring they held a party for friends and family at the historic Depot in Minneapolis. Their reception was a traditional Saudi celebration complete with ethnic food, vibrant decor, and traditional clothes and a photo booth rental in Minneapolis.

Maarya and Mudassir chose Time Into Pixels Photography to be their official photographer to memorialize the occasion. Their event programs included a Turkish tile design which we then used to create a matching, custom template for the photo booth background. The couple went with our Open Style Photo Booth to accommodate the large number of guests in attendance. This design allows for groups of up to 17 people to be in a single shot!
At the end of the night, we gave the bride and groom a one-of-a-kind book that included all of the photo strips that were taken. This book also contained the well-wishes and signatures of their friends and family and is sure to be a cherished heirloom. We also provided a complete digital photo gallery of the experience.
If you’re looking for a photo booth rental in Minneapolis for a wedding or corporate event, Time Into Pixels would love to help! We can provide custom backdrops like we did for Maarya and Mudassir or we can use one of the ones we have on hand – we even have a green screen.
